Summary[]

Puss in Boots meeting Puss Dos.
Puss in Boots is enjoying a stroll around town, but quickly gets bumped into by Puss Dos first appearing trying to practice Puss's signature move. A mildly irritated Puss suggests to him to practice other things to make him more distinctly unique from himself, such as greeting inanimate objects like the sky. Puss does runs off to do this, and as Puss turns around he spots what appears to be Puss Dos right outside the Netherworld portal. He runs up, only to find it is not Puss Dos, but Puss The Bold, who emerged from the gateway. He is joined by even more Pusses whom he remarks as "incredibly handsome", including a female one who gives Puss confusing feelings. Artephius joins him along with some other townsfolk, including Toby, Eames and Dulcinea. The alchemist explains that they are from the multiverse where everyone has magical duplicates of themselves, like Eames as a beloved member of his community, a mean Dulcinea and unfortunately, not a Toby who has Puss as a twin, a suggestion that irritates even Artephius. He continues explaining that the summoning of Puss Dos must have caused the Pusses of other worlds to be sucked into the Netherworld as well. Puss instantly believes him, commenting that the crazy explanation suits the nonsensical nature of magic. He then leads the other known Pusses into the town. Dulcinea cautions Puss, fearing one might be an evil twin, though Puss dismisses this line of inquiry. Another Puss shows up behind them, with a sinister smile on his face.

Evil Puss watches the rest from a distance.
The whole gang enters the Cow and Moone Cantina where Pajuna greets each individual cat, confused. Puss explains that they all have come to live in San Lorenzo and introduces several of the 38 cats. Pajuna reiterates the same warning Dulcinea shared, though Puss waves her off as well. The cats then proceed to follow Puss throughout his day in the town as the mysterious Puss watches over them. At the end of the day, Dulcinea and Eames tell Puss that the Pusses are causing problems throughout their town, along with others such as Toby. Puss then regretfully tells the disgruntled cats to make their own place in the world. Artephius offers up a better idea to send each of them back to their respective realms. Puss the bold asks him if that is possible, though Artephius says unless he was an alchemist it would not. Puss tries to remind him but Dulcinea stops him, hoping Artephius would remember on his own. He does and Dulcinea cheers, leaving puss bewildered.

Evil Puss knocking Puss in Boots cold.
In Artephius' shop, the wizard gets to work, sending all the cats back, though at some point Puss the Bold and Puss in Boots get into a scuffle, and after he leaves Puss in Boots stomps on the ground in fury. At the end of the day, Puss goes to sleep, and has a dream where the mysterious cat ominously drops him into the end of the world. Puss, frightened wakes up to that same cat who knocks him unconscious again. Puss is then woken up by Señora Zapata, confronting the cat about Esme's stolen retirement candy. The child in tears claims to have witnessed the act, though Puss denies it and offers to find the bounty. He walks out of the cantina, to find a whole crowd of townsfolk unhappily waiting for the cat, wanting him to explain the crude acts they claim to have witnessed him carry out such as stealing Eames' hairbrush, the mayor's favorite barrel and someone's wife's skillet (a frying pan), who thanks him secretly as it freed him from the abuse. Puss denies them all, claiming to have been asleep the whole morning. the townsfolk leave and Puss immediately sees his lookalike. he confronts him, who reveals himself as Evil Puss. The two engage in combat from the rooftops, falling down into some produce surprising Dulcinea. Evil Puss tries to seduce her, though Puss in Boots returns to reaffirm her fears. She claims she is happy because she was right, which Puss resolves to discuss later. While their hats are removed, Evil Puss drops his sword, imitates his accent and pulls a final act of pretence to bring the townsfolk to witness him being threatened by the real Puss, held at swordpoint. The Townspeople mistakenly fall for the act and exile him from the city, throwing him off the cliffs.

Puss exiled can only wander the desert, feeling regret. remembering Dulcinea's interaction with the charming cat, grows frustrated with jealousy. Back in the town, Evil Puss charms everyone, including Eames whom he claims is his best friend, overjoying Eames. Evil Puss sighs in satisfaction of how easily he tricked all. Puss Dos follows the exiled Puss in Boots into the desert, before helping him trick Evil Puss and restoring Puss in Boots to his rightful place. His evil doings were cut short when Puss attempted to drop a boulder on him. Irritated, he tries to confront Puss one to meet Puss Dos. He is knocked down from the rooftop back onto the ground which the town witnesses. Evil Puss attempts to pull the same act and appeals to Dulcinea's emotions, but his use of a contraction fails to pull the wool over her eyes. She punches him and the citizens ties. him up. He tries to escape only to find himself at the Netherworld portal again. He refuses to return to his own world and pulls a Hail Mary, leaping into the portal. Engulfed in light, he screams in desperation frivolously. An explosion ensues, followed by a deafening silence.
Artephius fears the implications of his actions, given the portal is only intended to work one way, and is unsure of the aftermath that could result from the reverse.
