The annual San Lorenzo Horse race is almost here. Puss agrees to support Artephius' team. However the orphans ask Puss to be in their team. Artephius questions Puss on which team he is racing for. Puss claims he for both teams but Artephius and Dulcinea disagree claiming he can't be on both teams. Dulcinea first suggests to Puss to let Uli free, seeing as he tends to run his mouth quite a bit. He does so, with Uli accidentally revealing information on the Crown of Souls almost immediately much to their surprise. Dulcinea proceeds to successfully makes Puss understand why he is unable to race on behalf of both teams, raising a conundrum for Puss to face.

Artephius then suggests to Puss to make an exemplicus of him to accommodate both teams. Puss Dos is then created. Puss greets Pus Dos however, it is revealed Puss Dos is completely abnormal to the original Puss. Puss Dos is indolent, unintellegent, immature and is nothing like Puss. However he is also very empathetic. Puss attempts to ameliorate Puss Dos' behavior so he can act and be related to him. He trains him to spin in the air, ride a horse, kiss a woman's hand, and more. All which he fails leaving Puss agitated.

Later in the Catina, Pajuna deliberatly tricks Uli into obeying her deeds and labor by telling using reverse psychology against him. Wanting to act vile and evil Uli disobeys Pajuna commands and does them. Later on, he realizes he has been tricked when he catches a small smile out of Pajuna, becoming frustrated. He notices a small silver bottle on the table, and begins to form a plan in his head.

Uli realizing something is off.

Puss in Boots tieing Puss Dos onto his horse gets infuriated with him and questions him for his behavior. Puss Dos' explains to him that he cannot impersonate Puss in Boots rather he can only be himself. Puss feels empathy and agrees. The horse race then begins. Towards the end Puss in Boots wants to win the race but does not want to dishearten the orphans so he asks Felina to give him a sign. Puss Dos falls off his horse and Puss does the same. Puss Dos wins and Puss questions why. Artephuis said because his horse crossed the finish line he wins. Because it's known as the horse race only horses are required to finish the race, Puss questions why then would riders be involved. Artephuis claimed it looks better in the portrait. Puss in Boots says to Puss Dos making him into himself was a "mistake." Puss Dos hugs Puss and are all relieved.

They all then have dinner outside the Catina. Uli claims he "poisoned" their dinner as an act of vengeance. However he failed because he merely added pepper. He said it burnt his tongue believing it was toxic. Pajuna informs Uli that it was just pepper and Puss explains what it is. Uli realizes he was outsmarted and they all take enjoyment in his suffering.
